1. Summary
wikivouchercode.com does not use advertising, analytics or social media cookies. We use one small item of browser storage that makes the site work. When you click a link to a retailer, our affiliate partner and the retailer set their own cookies. This notice explains both.
2. What we store on your device
Name: vc_revealed
Type: session storage in your browser, set by wikivouchercode.com
Purpose: remembers which codes you have revealed in this browser tab, so they stay visible as you move around the site
How long: deleted automatically when you close the tab
Shared with anyone: no. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us or anyone else.
This storage is strictly necessary to provide the code reveal feature you have asked for, so the law does not require your consent. We do not set any other cookies or storage on our website.
3. Cookies set when you click a shop link
Every Show code, Get deal and Visit shop button is an affiliate link. When you click one:
- your browser passes through our affiliate network, currently Awin, before reaching the retailer;
- Awin sets cookies on its own website (for example a cookie called bId, which can last up to 12 months) and adds a tracking reference to the retailer's web address;
- the retailer may set its own cookies to record that you came from us;
- if you buy something, this lets the retailer credit the sale to us so we can be paid a commission.
We tell you this in the notice at the top of every page, before you click. By clicking, you agree to Awin and the retailer setting these cookies for this purpose. If you do not want this, do not click the shop links. You can visit the retailer's website directly instead, although we will not be paid and some codes may not work.
The third parties involved are:
- Awin (Awin AG and AWIN LTD): www.awin.com/gb/privacy
- the retailer you choose to visit, whose name is shown on the button and whose cookie policy is on its website.
When we work with other affiliate networks, we will name them beside the relevant buttons and in this notice.
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, including third party cookies, in their settings. Blocking Awin or retailer cookies will not stop our website working, but it may mean we are not paid for sales we refer.
5. Changes
If we start using any other cookies or similar technologies, we will update this notice before we do and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
